ABOUT
Leah Bowlin, DO is Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation with a special interest in Traditional Osteopathy. She is a Pennsylvania native, she received a B.S. Degree in Molecular Biology from Messiah College. She earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree from the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine where she completed an extra training year in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine. She went on to complete her internship at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania as well as her residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at University of Pennsylvania where she was chief resident in her last year of training. Prior to moving to Cambridge, Dr. Bowlin was an Attending Physiatrist at University of Pittsburg Medical Center in Williamsport, PA with focus on osteopathic care and treatment for a wide variety of patients with special interest in general musculoskeletal disorders, sports injuries, post-stroke rehabilitation, brain injury care, spinal cord injury care, as well as acute and chronic pain conditions.
Treatment Approach
Dr. Bowlin believes in a holistic approach to healthcare integrating osteopathic manipulation treatment with rehabilitation care and services. She aims to address the root cause of symptoms and health issues. She works closely with a multidisciplinary team of other health care providers including other specialty physicians, primary care physicians and providers, and physical therapists.
